Need to send your volunteers the schedule so they can see who is assigned and sign up for unfilled positions?
We recommend creating a Live Schedule Post sending that to your volunteers. Doing so allows them to see the big picture, and any changes made are updated in real time.
Here's how:
- If you do not already have a Live Schedule Post, open schedule, go to File, and click on "Create additional Live Schedule Post..."
- In the Online layout and options box that appears, use the option on the right to select the layout (in Layout Settings), jobs (in Included Jobs), and shifts (in Included Shifts) you want to add to the Live Schedule Post.
- Save the Live Schedule Post and name it.
- In the Announcements, send your volunteers an email letting them know about the open positions using the specific Live Schedule Post from the Token menu under Live Schedule Post Links. It will be named {{LiveSchedulePost:name}} where the name of the Live Schedule Post you chose is displayed.
- Once the email is sent, volunteers will be able to click on the name of the Live Schedule Post in the email and view all available positions.
